The Fundraising Committee members start with a big smile, joyful heart and a deeply rooted Catholic faith. This energetic group takes these basic ingredients of their ministry and turns them into food sales as fundraising events for the unbudgeted necessities of the parish, primarily the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities.
The group plans, coordinates and holds several fundraising events throughout the year, often tying into special liturgical celebrations and celebratory parish events.
Be trained to learn how to properly handle food; must have certificate / proof of completion of training and maintain certification. The parish provides assistance, if needed, to ensure that the volunteer obtains a certificate.
Support the person-in-charge of a sale by helping prepare the day before, cook and sell food items the day of and clean the kitchen and hall facility before leaving
Must be comfortable asking for donations to purchase food items and bargain for prices suitable for a nonprofit organization. Nonprofit letter status can be provided at the parish office.
