Purpose

In line with the Church’s mission to bring the message of salvation through Jesus Christ, and to serve one another, this Ministry works to:

  • FOSTER belief in the sanctity of every human life, from conception to natural death.

  • EDUCATE parishioners on Catholic Social Teachings, which address crucial moral issues affecting human life (Abortion, Contraception, Assisted Suicide, Religious Liberty, etc.).

  • DEVELOP witnesses who serve within their families, social groups, and the political community to build a culture of life.

PROGRAMS and EVENTS to implement the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops 2018-2019 theme :

“EVERY LIFE CHERISHED, CHOSEN, SENT” 

  • OneLifeLA: Saturday, January 19, 2019: Archdiocese of Los Angeles invites all parishes to attend OneLifeLA, joining with thousands of pro-life advocates to express solidarity with the Church and religious leaders who stand for life. Takes place in downtown LA, featuring guest speakers and valuable information; food and refreshments available on site.

  • Educational Workshop planned during the spring of 2019: Watch the Bulletin for announcements of time, place, and speakers for 1) Information on the proposed Human Life Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, 2) Care and Prepare: Finding Loving Care at the End of Life; includes information on Advanced Directives

  • 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign which coincides with the 40 Days of Lent, from Ash Wednesday, March 6 to Wednesday, April 10, 2019.

  Requirements

•     Active membership at novenas, prayer groups and events listed above.
